North Vancouver’s fourth annual Teddy Bear Toss was one to remember!

The club hosted the Grandview Steelers for the third time this season and were able to come away with a 3-1 victory. JJ Pickell had two goals (28,29) and Matthew Carniel scored his 23rd of the year for the Wolf Pack while Zarek Slaferek (3) responded for the Steelers. Pickell, Carniel, and Oatman all had points on their team’s three goals. Brayden Burrows stopped 26 of the 27 shots fired his way while Ronin Geraghty went 29 of 32 between the pipes.

The teddy bear goal came off the stick of the captain, JJ Pickell, at the 6:15 mark of the first period. The goal looked and sounded like this –

On Tuesday, the Wolf Pack leadership group visited the North Shore Christmas Bureau with the five large bags of teddy bears that were collected on Saturday night. The team has been proud to work with the Christmas Bureau for the past four seasons and appreciates all the work put in by their volunteers.

The Wolf Pack have six more games remaining until 2024, with two left at home. The Wolf Pack will play the Ridge Meadows Flames, Chilliwack Jets, Grandview Steelers, Delta Ice Hawks, Port Moody Panthers, and Mission City Outlaws to wrap up the year.

Tickets for home games can be purchased at the arena or online.
